Oh, I've not heard of that one. My mother said something like that  about chickory - and that her family didn't use it for coffee.

Re: Taps

The last mattress I bought came with a bed that rises in different positions. I was rather naive , I think it was £900 just for the mattress. The sales woman rang me up about a year ago asking if I wanted to change the bed, I said no it was so good I would keep it forever. I'll buy a mattress in the sales. Never tried lemon only on pancakes.

Re RPresta

The only coffee i remember as a youngster was Called Camp coffee/ It was liquid in a bottle. During the war that was regarded as a luxury. There was an imitation made from parsnips. it was horrible.

This is so amusing. I feel like I need to re-read it so I don't miss anything. I'm not a 'tea' person but will drink it if I'm unwell, once in a while. My mother liked her tea - and her coffee. Not together, of course. lol.

You reminded me that I haven't turned my mattress in ever so long.  You also reminded me of my dearest mother.  She always took milk in her tea.  I'm a lemon person myself.  I love this post.  There is so much in it to make one think.
