Re: Corbin_Dallas

There is that, Corbin, that's always a good result.   Thanks for the comment.

Re: D - Finish it when ye've a mind ta do so...

I have 3 possible endings.   The problem is making the endings dramatic or humorous.  Still mulling, but I can do another couple of posts before crunch time.  Thanks R/P.

Re: RPresta

Not only does she turn and walk away, she disowns me at the same time.   And No, I'm not kidding.  It's not the first time she's said, "Who me?  Him?  No Way!"

Glad I brought a smile, R/P

D - Finish it when ye've a mind ta do so...

I may ask Daughter #1 and/SIL about how their guru got their missing everything back, after one guy said it couldn't be done. I think it was beyond them and I'm sure each case is different.

Yes, that meant Forget it, DT, in wife-speak, especially if she turned around and started to do something else as she finished speaking. lol.

Re: RPresta

I'll try to finish the fairy tale this weekend, R/P.   As for the first 50,000, that was on the desktop, and we could not figure that out.   That was one of the reasons for buying laptops.  As for the last few thousand that vanished on the laptop, I've tried everything, and Mrs D, who used to work in the computer world, couldn't understand it.

To me, that meant forget it DT.   So I have mentally pigeon holed it under 'yesterday'.  Mentally, I've decided to incorporate the lost words into a newer version.

D - Yes, the fairy tale. It's a fun one.

Mrs. D gets those? No fun, especially when driving. Yes, keep your writings in a safe place. And are you sure you can't retrieve the 50,000 words you lost?

Re: RPresta

Oops, I forgot about the fairy tale.   Mrs D gets those.  When I get a seizure I just don't know anything.   As the Doc says, 'aren't you the lucky one.'

I like to pretend some of my scribbles are worth keeping.

Re: Re: RPrestaD

I'm glad you found the Drive. Now the fairy's tale will proceed. Good.

I am the least patient, least tekkie person around, more unorganized writer of "stuff," and I just want my photos and videos off of my phone's clouds and inside my compy. The whole thing gives me a headache, and I get ocular migraines, to boot!

You wisely rescheduled. Whew! Mrs. D would not have let you go out for a drive and a stroll to the doc's in a blizzard, I'm sure.

Re: Corbin_Dallas

Corbin, Corbin, Are you never going to learn?   The online drive is a SOFT Drive, which in my case stands for Silly Old Fart's Tremor.

Re: RPresta

It goes without saying that all online articles are true - otherwise our society would be built on lies, wouldn't it?   Just a joke Corbin, scouts honor.

RP - the reason for the OneDrive search is, a Corbin comment of a few weeks back (it was online so it has to have been true), about saving work.   After losing all those thousands of  words after the PC crashed, i wasn't going to go through it again, so  - I decided that before I wrote anything of note - of note to Me, you understand - something I could stand back and read and say "hey I like that", I woild make sure I could save it.

I finally worked out OneDrive and saved some of the fairy tale in it.....It actually worked, then the laptop decided to update itself - I see today that the Kobo is going to update itself as well.  But from your comment, I see that it is posssible to find OneDrive or whatever, so I'll search for it this morning....won't be going anywhere else.

Probably have to re-schedule.  Thanks for the advice RP - you are a font -fount? - of internet info.

D - Yep, the ice is old and all online articles are true. Aren't they?

I just found my One Drive after the latest round of updates. I have no clue how to fight the Clouds to retrieve my iPhone videos and photos. I don't like tekkie thingies, so yeah, I get it. You are not a happy camper without your OneDrive, whatever it does. I don't use it - yet. Plus, why go to the doc in a blizzard? Maybe you should reschedule. BeenThere could handle that, and SeenIt can direct you to your OneDrive.

Re: Corbin_Dallas

You mean they pluck a frozen number from an ice cube and pretend it means something?   I must try that.  Do you know, Corbin, that 35 million people read this post in December of last year.  Hard to believe, isn't it, but it is on the internet so it must be true.  Thanks mate.
