Re: Pat,

One of the best defenses is remembering that the 'black dog' will go away, the sun will come out, that spring will come.

Re:

Maybe consider that little jumpy bugger like a critter like that cat that shows up occasionally, but this one isn't worth feeding or petting.

I hated earaches when I was a kid... and when my kids had them. They usually indicated some kind of ear infection, and they'd be prescribed a general type of antibiotic.  Other than that, it's heat, pain management like the breathing exercises for labor, and waiting it out.

Happy New Year to you, too!

Yes Ciel I had the worry of waiting for a scan. It was OK, but that emotion did not fizzle out no the little bugger jumped onto other things. I know it is silly but. Oh by the way do you know a cure for ear ache?.Happy New Year.

The pendulum swings low and then high again, two high points

to one low. Sometimes I can fight the urge to give up and wallow when I visualize myself as the polished brass thing-a-ma-jig that has more ups than downs. Seems to me the dark days of winter make it seem deeper and darker, but spring's just around the corner.
