That was a very nice way you two spent Christmas together. I like it. That was a great way to navigate through the hustle and bustle.

Thank you so much for the "Just Another Tuesday" card that you mailed to me.  I love the cards with scenes of Christmas past that make me think of places and people that I loved in times gone by.  It is not that I don't love people anymore.  It is just that I love being a little distant from the foldarol and hullabaloo, and noise and excitement and celebrate in my own way.

spending the time with a son sounds as wonderful to me as the hour on the phone with Austrlian family was for me. There is too much emphasis on silly things. not enough on love and yes when we get older the remembering when.

Probably as well, the days preceding are the real ones. I usually visit the cemetery, some fair and gypsies folk always try to raise the ante. Flowers as large as a cycle wheel and flashing lights. I took two buckets of turf to level the ground in front of my parents graves.
