Blake wrote a good poem for his time.  But it only takes a glancing look at the problem of predators.  Why are predators allowed to thrive, in the animal realm or the human realm?  Is it because God allows everything in the universe "free will" to express itself, even in horrible and destructive ways?  Or is it because God had the power to set it all in motion, as our Creator,  but does not have the power to regulate it all properly?  The universe would be no less a miracle and a gift, if that were so, and I would be no less grateful to God.
