CCT, I remember, I had one of those spool-things, but don't think it ever went beyond a jump rope. Small one, maybe for a hamster.
Pat, I like that Grinch hat idea... might have to find some apple green chenille. In the meantime, I have changed hooks and my floppy Santa hats are growing into gnome toppers!

A big market place on Face Book. I guess you just like making them, can you remember as kids we used a cotton reel with 4 small nails and looped wool around until a woolly rope appeared. I think some made them into mats, mine never achieved that status. I suppose I could make potato nets, but not many boil bacon and potatoes together this days.
