Aba brother

I echo GM's comment. Superb. Did the 'ghosts' not also include those of Ibsen himself? He faces them (imho) as he writes his [shockingly taboo] play, dealing with them using satire laced with disgust.  And, BTW, I truly enjoyed your last paragraph. Well done, brother.

Yes,  please, please do make it a point the see the movie "Ghost".  It impressed me greatly, and it was nominated for 5 Academy Awards.  The only bad thing about it, was that Whoopi Goldberg was in it.  She almost ruined the movie for me.  But she did well play the part of a skeptic and a criminal, who was won over to the truth of the spiritual realm.  She won an Oscar for her efforts,  but I still think she almost ruined the movie.     Cheers

Ghosts have become a major part of human thought.

Re: Anib to GM

I'm happy to learn that you like it. Actually I gave it as a filler as I wasn't able to concentrate on the other subject I intended to post. It's not coming through well. The concept of the universe's really disappearing. Just read and commented on your RA. BTW, I didn't see the movie, but I will.

Re: Corbin

Thanks a lot, dear. If I've been able to, then I feel my effort has been worth the while.

You have once again excelled in the analysis of a literary piece..... YES, I agree emphatically,  there are "ghosts" all around us and in us,  in the form of memories, expectations, obligations, and genetic inheritances.  You have analyzed this literary piece in such excuisite detail,  that I must simply stand back and applaud.

There are also literal and real ghosts, as in the remnants of people who have died, but remain in some form to influence us.  Have you seen the classic movie GHOST, with Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore,  which I love and I think is pretty close to the truth?
