That's what I keep telling him Pat. Also there is concern that folk have bought new fangled wood burners and they are as bad in polluting as the coal fires which are not in use. Yes Pat it did not pay to get drunk by the docks, seamen were always needed and many did not return.

That's really nice Taps, I don't really get into black moods,but I thought I might have to have a coc..... implant and I have been thinking about it for months . I had a scan and apart from having a big head all is normal . Now the trouble is it leaves a vacuum in ones mind when a worry ceases and other things try to get in the act. If only I could sing I could be like you.

I don't think it is so bad using pallets for odd things,but sawing any wood is rather suspect Yes I do give him sugical masks,but I wish he did not do it.

Pallets get used for all sorts of fencing and furniture around here, doggie kennels, and stuff, but yeah, I hope he isn't using treated ones. Maybe you can give him a surgical mask...?

The King's Shilling--I've read that it sometimes had a string attached--literally, to snatch it back from the recruit after it had crossed his palm.

You got me thinking about "black moods" and what people are like when they are in a black mood. I don't get into black moods because I like music too well and I love to sing. Archie should not breathe that stuff. No one should. So many things are bad for us to breathe. Thank you for your poem. It was a pleasure to read but I may pass on the cooking. Kings Shilling, Press Gabgs, the terms are a bit foreign to me.

Wood pallets, if treated with preservatives, should not be burned, nor

should you breathe dust from sawing them - the muck they use to preserve the wood is a carcinogen. I got a surprise with the last stanza of the last poem, thinking of the king's shilling and naive lads being conscripted aboard ships... never know where I'll get to go in time or space... Nice work.
