I'm glad that Wiley was doing better yesterday. Here's to hoping today is even better.

Cardinals cheer!

The Cardinal: A magnificent bird with a life span of up to 15 years. Said to symbolize hope, joy, health, rejuvenation and celebration. Especially to the ones who look beyond in search of their meaning. There you go, sweet friend. My son had one follow him from where he lived in the city to where he is now. He's pretty sure it was sent by his Uncle Bird.

Kabu

Thank you for telling us about how Wiley is doing and how you are doing, dear sweet lady. I did have a feeling the hydration and potassium levels could be off somewhat, not that that's the sole issue. You are a lady to be admired; one who is an example of a strong, loving and caring wife, mother, nurse and friend. And I'm glad to hear of your birdies. Hugs to you and to Wiley.

I think the cardinals are my favorite birds. I don't think they live in

western Washington state, where I grew up because I saw my first one when I got to the Midwest and was thrilled. There are also no fireflies or lightning bugs on the Pacific slopes of the Cascades if memory serves, and I spent a lot of time out in the wilderness areas. They did have beautiful mountains, fresh air, fantastic waterfalls, and gorgeous beaches... Stop! I'm making myself homesick.  I love those little rooster Cardinals - their song is so lyrical.  Great news that Wiley's feeling a little better, even if he does keep pulling out his tubes & plugs - and that his daughter is coming. Take care of yourself too, Kabu.
