Yes I remember you always have had a tussle with beds. They do put little bags of barley straw in ponds to clear them, but I don't know if there are any for tanks, or if it would be suitable.

Yes, I have a base under the new one, and the futon frame under the old one.

We have maybe 8-10 inches here at this point, near midnight. I don't have to go out until noon tomorrow, so plenty of time to brush off the truck.

That sounds just lovely!  Did you know if you stuff a queen size down comforter into a twin or double duvet, it makes a nice down mattress?

I remember sleeping on a feather bed when I was a kid. It conformed

to my shape as I slept, puffing up around the body - it rested on a firm box spring, which meant it reverted to its original dimension when I made the bed in the morning. Also had a down-filled quilt, so cozy during the winter. I hope your guests stay just long enough and you all have a great time together.
