Then, except for the mountains just to the west, you'd enjoy the weather patterns here. It's like there's a game wheel Someone spins, with about a dozen choices, and several sub-choices within each one. It sometimes spins several times a day.

When I lived in Washington State beside Puget Sound, it sometimes rained once from September to April... one long, ceaseless rain! Didn't love it much after the first few weeks. But here in desert-dry Colorado, cloudy days and rain is welcome whenever it comes!
I'm glad you summoned up a good dowsing for your neighborhood! Do people get suspicious if it only falls over your yard?

Hurray of course I did it right,
it rained and rained all through the night.
The secret of the Gypsy dance,
no need to go into a trance.
All the neighbours were amazed ,
we had not had a spot for days.
I suppose when mind is over matter
one must disregard the latter.
Rain splashed against the window pane,
really it is very plain.
The elements must simply wait
for that which will precipitate

somehow that magic always stays.
I do admit a cruel wind blows,
in tardiness one must suppose.
I have tried it always fails,
when dancing with Top hat and Tails.
Of course one must do it right
although one sometimes doesn't quite
In the heat of this strange passion,
become a follower of fashion .
No it is the gypsy's clothes
They were not cheap I just suppose
One pays the price yet may regret
Weeks of walking in the wet.
