Well it is not cricket to kill everything off like the Dodo. Surprisingly they do say that we have too many deer roaming around ,but I have only seen three,so they must keep a low profile. My sister said a nice looking rat was becoming a bit daring, it had white paws and

looked rather cute. I told her to stop feeding it, she did and it has moved on.Or perhaps someone has called the council rat catcher.

I loved this post....all of it.  My Dad was a hunter, but for the purpose of feeding our large family.  He never killed anything that we could not eat and he usually prepared and cooked it himself just like he grew a garden and did the canning of the tomatoes and the green beans while Mom put out the washing of clothes for family of nine.  I was quite picky when I was a child so I avoided the squirrel, eating only the dumplings, ate the venison only when it was ground up to look like hamburger, totally avoided the coon and never watched mom kill, scald, pluck and clean the hens that had stopped laying.  But, I sure loved her egg noodles cooked in that broth.

Pat

This is good news, and an enjoyable post to read. I liked the Jello part... lol. Good one.

I wonder if other places will adopt those policies.

Doing a happy dance about the bear news. As for animals, well Mr Graysome is a happy prisoner in the house and because he has in door out door areas, he isn't deprived fresh air or the fun of watching birds and small critters...but he does not belong in a wild animal sanctuary. Domestic cats should be kept inside. Some people have windows that open into an indoor outdoor caged area. There are plenty of waves to make kitty happy and keep them from hunting.
