Re: Kabu,

Some of these are designed for hauling around, but many are also made to be settled on the ground, and no doubt could be hooked up to a septic system. You could design one on the flat, I'm sure. I would also need railings!

The beauty of it all is how open the builders in the industry are to new and custom designing. I would like to see one built like an old sailing ship!

Re: Pat,

The computer spot seems a standard thing in these.

I think the whole concept is that we don't need as much space as we have been building, and paying for, for generations. We are used to too much stuff, too.

Re: CCT,

You might need a separate one for the jumble, like a huge closet or an attic.

Charlie and I have thought of buying a piece of land and putting on it several alternative type houses. There are so many kinds!

Re: TAPS,

I've seen two of them linked up by a deck/breezeway--It was a couple who ran a vineyard and needed one side for entertaining and the other for living in. So, the thing is, one can design a 'tiny' to meet one's needs. That one was featured on a tv show but I don't recall the name of the series.

How on the same page we are. The trailor could go for I would prefer a permanent spot with septic tank. My Nomadic days are numbered me thinks. The area at the back for bycycles could then be used for gardening tools. LOL.  Stairs for me would need a hand rail and definitely storage in the sleeping area. Perhaps at the foot of the bed that would also become a barrier against silly me falling down to the next level.

I agree with TAPS. It would need a spot for the 'puter, too.

But I'm thinking there's got to be a point halfway between the current house and that extreme. In this crowded world, it just makes sense.

Quite cute the houses but I think mine would not take all the jumble. I did see another version last week it was  perfectly round and was fixed to the ground by three spikes. Ideal for a young married couple living on the parents lawn. Yes if the lawn is large enough. I suppose this would help solve the acute housing problem we have here, but it is the price of building land that kind of puts of this cheap housing system.

I like to look at the tiny houses, but at my age, I don't think I'd want to live in one.  I'm thinking everything on one floor for me.  There are things about them that appeal to me.  If I were 50 years younger, I would love the loft.
