Quite an operation, but I can see the reasons for such tight restrictions. Someone, sometime, made each rule necessary.

I expect it puts a good many off visiting, seems a bit harsh.

My goodness.... I had no idea they were so strict for jail visitors.  But I suppose every step is necessary to counter some trick that someone actually used, to slip something to the prisoner.....

FSI - very informative post!

Wow! They make it like you're the prisoner.After all that, cell phones and other contraband still get in there. Amazing ingenuity inside of jails...

Yet they still seem to bring drugs into the jails or I wonder if money the inmates may have will buy them anything. 

keep visiting, it is all he has to look forward to.

It sounds almost like a punishment for the visitor, but the inmate

must be grateful for the visit - at least the visitor can leave when visiting hour is over. Stay strong.
