Re: Corbin

Car Wash competition is not a problem for us. Dad has the car wash markets cornered where we are at. We have had new competition spring up over the past couple of years, but none of them have made a dent.

I jokingly say that our biggest competitor is rain in the form of God's Car Wash, and right now, that is making things tight.

That is the trouble with costs it is never easy to just raise prices.  It seems a car wash needs quite a bit of maintenance . The good thing is if one owns the land it will almost certainly increase in value.

The sad thing is when you own a business....the burden is all on your shoulders.  In small businesses, long-term employees are literally a part of the "family" of that business.  But sometimes you gotta do what ya gotta do.   I'm assuming that places like Krogers, and gas stations with car washes attached  (which are much lower level operations) are eating into your business...especially places that offer discounts based on gas purchased.

We had a really long hard rain early this morning.  We needed it very badly.

I hope you & dad will find a way to make it go without having to

do layoffs - work gives us more than just a paycheck, it offers continuity and purpose. But you already know that. Maybe we'll all get a break from the weird weather soon.
