My Dad had  1/2 an acre and it was unreal.   He had every type of veggie.  All of our relatives would come out  from Louisville and expect him to get the veggies for them.....I wasn't very close to most of my relatives.  I am silly for not at least putting out tomato plants.  Especially the low acid Yellow tomatoes.

Well it is time to relax, but Helen for goodness sake get a longer hose mine is a hundred meters and some times join one on. I have a small electric pump to empty the rainwater butts , I don't know about your ground but mine is on top of an old stone quarry and it dries so quickly. I have resorted to growing a lot of plants in containers, not so far to bend when gathering the produce etc. Be happy. As long as our Wiley is comfortable.

I love your posts about your yard and gardens.  It is as if I am there with you watching what you do.

Kabu

Your gardens are lovely, a reflection of you who tends them. Enjoy the summer there, the sun looks bright in the photos. but do take care not to overdo, sweet lady.

So lovely, all the colors!

Have you had a word with the lawn-mowing kid? Maybe he just needs the corners pointed out.

I think your garden benefits from your presence, and not just

because you pull weeds and bring water. I think plants know when people around them care about them. On FB yesterday I saw a post by our old friend Dave Cryer where his wife was leaning on a carved gnome somewhere in Ireland. It was made of a tree stump apparently - and about four feet high. Couldn't help thinking how well it would fit in Kabu's garden.
