I remember when you posted about your grandson on FB and put you on my prayer list. that includes his and your family. Praying. On another note stem cell research to me sounds good. Even with the bad.

TAPS

It is my understanding that they now can use stem cells from even the skin on one's hand. I would like to see more done. I've seen someone sent home from their doctor, saying there was no hope, that 6 months was the most that person had to live due to stomach cancer. And I've seen what City of Hope had done 12 years ago with stem cell treatment, and I'm pleased to say that person is still here; a friend of the family. So with me, it's personal also. I am very sorry about your grandson. It's very painful for you, I'm sure. As a nurse, I'm certain you want to see healing of body and mind. Healing of spirit is another subject. :)

As a Christian, I believe that all Knowledge comes from my God. There fore all knowledge is good; it is what we humans do with the knowledge that can be so evil one cannot comprehend how terrible we can be. I prefer the idea of growing cells to restore people to a healthy independent life to growing babies to harvest organs...

Post script...where is the nearest place that I can donate my fat cells for research!!!LOL

I'm happy that science is able to use stem cells and save

people from conditions that can kill or debilitate them. I hope one day they can find the answer to the human questions that lead to depression/anxiety and the urge to suicide. The statistics bear out my sense that there's so much more of this than there was even a few years ago.  Lately I've been wondering if it is this same frame of mind that leads to mass killings in schools and other venues.  We have to decide every day to keep on keepin' on, to be kind and help others feel valued, too.
