Re: F S
Yes when I was a conscript everyone ignored one lad. I found him to be quite friendly , although he did confess to me that he did not like girls. I was innocent at that time and suggested that he might change his mind one day. i did not take much notice as I did not believe him.

Re: RPresta
I am sure we have all felt that unwelcome aura even if it was imagined.
There I put you an extra one. I bet you cannot remember when one bought cigarettes and there was a small pack joined as four for your friends, it seems a bit off these days.

Yes I could see the hesitation in the separate little girl following and the enthusiastic
mannerision of the three in front.

Oh, dear - this one brings the old picture back to new again...
Finding out only now that so many of us feel like the outsider, walking along behind the in crowd. Who is to say whether the distance between them is created by the insiders or the one who separates herself. Thought provoking poem.

This poem evokes real emotion. Very well done. Takes me back both to being with friends and being by myself. (No emojis on this computer.)

Boy that takes me back to my childhood. I could feel being there and doing both of those things.
