That is beautiful graffiti, indeed. I remember taking The Multicultural Roman Empire in college. There was a lot of interesting graffit, not different than what we see today.

Your interests are varied, but always filled with little gems which I think would be undiscovered.

Poetry to the people! Regular people have genius ideas and

insights now and then. Great post!

Re: raysongs64

Hi Ray, thank you so much. I'm glad to hear it, as I was almost about to give it up for a while. And good to read you again. I missed Blogitsville but needed a little rest. I do like the Campbell quotes and the Wayne Dyer quotes, as well as the old Greeks, as I call them. Yes, if you can't relate to them, all the quotes in the world are worth nothing. Hope you post some poems or stories soon.  (No emojis, I'm on my old computer.) :)

Re: Aba brother

Thank you. I've long loved Pompeii, and have been fascinated by it since I was a child. I love the computer renderings of how it must have looked. If I go to Italy, I will try to go there. Oops, no emojis. :)

That was a good 'un, dear sis Presta

And the quality of the graffitti-message shows how advanced they were Pompeii went under the ashes of the mount Vesuvius' exploding lava almost 2300 years ago. I've read that an infant's cot and an some eggs remained preserved, so much fresh that they were fit to be eaten!
