yes, sort of. This is a play based on the same folktales. There was music in this, but I remember it only referencing Grieg's suite once.
I've always enjoyed the music!
Peer Gynt himself is a jerk.

Is that the play that includes a tune "Hall of the Mountain King"?
I seem to remember hearing the Peer Gynt suite on radio and Mom being especially taken with it - we didn't get into classical music much out there in the wilderness, but once in a while there was something amazing on the radio.
