I've posted on this topic before and it won't happen but it is aobut reapportionment, I think. But, being a person who lives in Cali, I can tell you that now everyone is they way TV depicts us. Most people are just regular folks who try to get by day by day. At least those in my world.

California - at least southern California - seems to me to be more

a state of mind than a political jurisdiction, perhaps because of the influence (on me) of the movie biz. I think of actors and auditions and tall, skinny beautiful people who would almost waste a minute's pity on the ordinary day workers who don't see plastic surgeons on a regular basis, and can't afford an organic vegan diet... Not so much a political place as a stage, I guess. And yet they've enacted clean air regulations, they've got an economy that surpasses some sovereign nations. I think if I were 20 years younger and interested in relocating, I'd head for Washington state, where there are forests and places to hike, natural streams, and of course, coffee shops handy to Seattle's waterfront.
