I love dogs. I treat them like I would a five or six year old child. I talk to them in complete sentences and for the most part, I think they understand me. I work the food situation like an 'open bar.' I have several 'food stations' around the hose, and they can eat as they wish. The boxer likes to eat a bit at a time and will bring his food out into the main living area and chew on it so he is in the middle of everyone. I have three very large water dishes about the place, and I change them out daily. They are happy with their home here.
All three of my dogs were 'rescue dogs.' They all came from homes that decided they didn't want them any more. Two of them were severely abused, but all they have ever found with us is love. I never, ever thought that the big black one would be a dog we could keep. He had been kicked an struck with something so many times that he would try to bite all the time. Judy and I spent hours every day, stroking him, talking softly to him, and now, he is a big playful puppy that lovers humans, but he would die protecting the house should someone be dumb enough to cross him or try to hurt me.

Well you are getting better by the looks of it. I wonder however you feed all those dogs one cat has me wondering if I should have it skinned.
