Sob, sob, I remember once  an Indian came to our door. He said to my Dad 'You nasty Gypsy Man.  My Dad turned as red as a turkey cock. He said, I'll give you bloody Gypsy man.

'No no you nice man '  We kids were all falling about laughing. But we kept quiet for a while.

Well we only went around the local villages Pat. Always had to bless a baby with silver and give everyone a present at Christmas. Not a very good business technique

We had a Morris Van with windows, sold nearly everything, but folk were too friendly in those days and it meant much tea drinking.

Every thing is to get folk to spend money  Kat. Look at the  stuff to grow a few plants.

My brother is grassing his garden over ,he said it is cheaper to buy veg.

Did you guys have a bakery that delivered in panel trucks Green & Yellow...with the Donaldson Man stopping by with cakes, donuts, pastries, etc.?  My Dad was jealous of the Donaldson Man/

I remember when the Fuller Brush man came around with the latest

cleaning potions and gadgets. And there was a guy who sold spices.
