That is heartbreaking but gun violence is epidemic!
Geez, this is not rocket science...If my health and mobility weren't so compromised, I would surely feel I had a fighting chance of getting a bat or even a knife away from an enraged, deranged and determined killer. Not so much a loaded GUN, especially a semi or fully automatic one..
I mean wouldn't you feel you could execute just the right moves, kicks or punches, etc. to get away a non firearm weapon out of a crazy person's hands; most brave men and women too would at least be willing to try until law enforcement got there. Those who carry their own guns would no doubt shoot the person but without return fire from the attacker, innocent lives wouldn't be jeopardized and lost in a crossfire and hail of bullets flying in all directions. I am for common sense gun reform, not taking guns away from sane, responsible adults 21 and older.
No weapons of war need to be owned by individuals and people with a documented history of mental illness should not be allowed to possess a gun. We have no fly lists to keep suspected terrorists off of airplanes without the masses having a hyped up fright fest; why does any kind of gun reform freak out a portion of the population in the U.S....hmmm, gun manufacturer's relentless lobbying efforts (to keep any regulations off of their products so they can sell, kill, sell, sell, sell, kill, rinse and repeat) wouldn't have anything to do with the fear mongering over the 2nd amendment, would it now??

guns are not the only way to kill a person or persons. bats, pipes, piano wire, knives, even plastic bags. shall we ban everything?
