Re: Kabu

I suppose it is a bond and very painful when broken after so much sacrifice.

Re: Pat

Well there is no need to tell of what one would wish, love your examples though.

Re: RPresta

Thank you RP. I guess we all wish we knew more at the time.

Re: overtherainbow

Rather sad Jean. Some are not capable, at least your children love you. Thankyou.

Both poems are excellent, CC!

Nothing compares to holding your newborn for the first time; my experience also..:)

loved both poems, i fear the only love i have known was for my children and them for me. but you have known many kinds of love i think to write these lovely poems.

I feel most, if not all of us, need to feel loved by someone. It helps keep us going...One can feel the loneliness in the poem.

You have taken the indescribable and described it. Well done, indeed. Most couldn't attempt to do that.

Love is so many things, like facets on a cut diamond, or

branches on a tree or the water dancing in spring warmth as it melts off a glacier in the mountains - your ability to channel and describe it's variety often surprises me.

that love when you hold your baby for the first time...I never knew anything could be that good that worth working for.
