Re:

I'm currently quite pleased at the house prices in my area Kabu ... far more than I anticipated, for mine.  So I'm staying put for the time being.

I was in my neighbour's kitchen with her once, and suddenly a bird flew into the window. It was quite a loud thud, and it left an imprint too - we never realised  birds were so greasy.

I am watching a programme in the afternoons about people buying houses in the beautiful Counties of South Western England. I enjoy looking through the houses, am horrified at the enormous costs and never guess the price.

You'd think a pigeon would notice the curtain behind the window...

At least it didn't break its neck.

Yes sometimes one has to take these gardeners with a pinch of salt most of the time they are advertising raised beds or inferior compost . Always biased against peat I know we should try not to use too much of it but some of the stuff on offer. Funny how a bird leaves a imprint on a window a pigeon does seem to be one that does show more than most.
