Re: Re: get your wines from here

No never been a wine maker and probably not a good idea married to someone who hasn't had a drink for 50 yrs. LOL. I do have the odd bottle in the basement but actually I don't drink much these days.

Re Pat

Well in those days Pat we were treated as family in many cases, not good for business.

Dad bought the wagon and hourse off of his uncle of course in those days there were no forms of lighting. Each cottage had an oil lamp, and most cooked by pariffin, or the oven at the fireside.

Re: get your wines from here

Yes I like a bit of scorpion droppings on the bottle, shows it is well aged. I wonder you don't make your own wine Kabu. If I had the energy I would make some orange wine, I did have a cellar years since and made hundreds of bottles of wine, but Arthur gradually drank it all when he was a student, so I now use the cellar as an air raid shelter with the appropriate bucket for hygienic purposes.

Re: RPresta

I expect there was RP. One thing I did notice it was bottled in the UK. The family tries to sound friendly on the bottle, I do prefer bottled in country of origin. I think the boy must have been only 7years old. The village I remember is as high as the Church steeple here at base camp, so you can guess the weather is always harsher.

There was a lot of in-fighting among the members of the Gallo family estate, if I remember right. It is not expensive wine but people do keep drinking it so it must be fine. The poem about the boy was so descriptive and well-done. Very nice.

I loved both of these. Especially like the visual of the lanterns

on each side of the wagon, and a boy and his dad huddled under a tarp on the way. Hard life, but such moments could be sweet.
