Well sometimes little simple things appeal we all have a little room for childhood memories hopefully. Yes lilac grows like weeds here, perhaps your land becomes very dry at times

In all my life I only learned one magic trick. I practiced it until I was quite proficient at it. I fooled quite a few people with it and it was fun. Then it magically disappeared and I could never perform again.

both poems were simply magical. lilacs being my favorite flower and smell, sadly they do not grow here like back in kansas where i grew up wild and wooley.

I love sleight-of-hand, and I can never (almost never)
figure out how they do the tricks. Maybe it's because I just want to believe there's really magic. I love the idea of a saucy little fairy ordering someone to cut the grass for her fairy celebration of lilac time.

Oh, what a delightful poem about the spites and the lilacs. Simply lovely. My grandson learned card tricks really quickly while he was recuperating from his accident where his skull got crushed.
