Re: Pat

I think there are one or two everywhere who just ignore any rules.

Well I have come up against a few. I doubt if a spider would still be in its natural shape these days after all the processing things go through. Hope you feel better.

Re:Ciel

Thankfully Guide Dogs do not suffer the same indignity.

I rather like goats milk for a change, not much of  a chance of Camel's milk. About a year ago or a couple, Ice Cream made from breast milk was being offered, but I think it was soon stopped, although one or or said it was delic.

Re: KABU

Well I always washed the bottles, I think they all get washed together. The main reason for sales decline was the price and huge discounts given by supermarkets, although most milkmen now deliver a variety of household goods. Milkmen deliver mostly through the night to avoid the traffic.

Re: RP

Well milk is still delivered in glass bottles it was dying trade ,but now since various hints about plastic not being the friendly substitute. There has suddenly been a revival in the glass bottle uptake. I usually by my weeks supply in card boxes Goodness I don't know if the are lined with plastic, but I don't think so.

I remember for a short while we had a milkman deliver milk in glass bottles early in the morning when I was very little. There were not spiders in it, fortunately. I see people going for walks with their doggies in stollers. Seems odds to me.

i remember in England long ago staying with my chosen sister and i washed the milk bottles before putting them out. She said don't do that. They won't clean them further if they look clean. Things were different in the UK to Australia.

The milk industry has changed a lot...It seems like all animals are being called service animals these days. Times have changed a lot in general now that I think about it.

ew ew ew!

Eating bugs and spiders is definitely off my menu!  Ewww!

Just about anything people will call a 'service animal' these days... Untrained, undisciplined, even dangerous animals. They will, of course, ruin it for the real ones with real needs.

I know a rather disturbed woman, no longer young, who has a

"service" dog, which she takes into all those shops and venues where dogs are forbidden, especially a blocky Rottweiler who isn't overly fond of children. I think it's a game she's playing, putting one over on the gatekeepers, based on how she tried to take advantage and get away with bending rules years ago when she worked in my office. Your bit about a pup in a pram just brought her to mind.

And a spider in the milk jug?  Yuck!  And just when I was enjoying that taste of pure cream risen to the top...
