True...very true.

Does anyone else see, as do you and I, how insidiously useful an "end times" story, such as the one in Revelations, is under such circumstances? ...so useful, in fact, that it compels its believers to fulfill the "vision" on their own volition?

Absolutely correct. People like D&E are brainwashed to the point where reality is only what they are told it is by their political gurus. Rightwingnuts are a cult in America and they will follow their leaders right off a cliff even as they see the abyss looming ahead.

The irony is...

...how strongly D&E believes his own so-called analysis of liberals to be devastatingly astute and accurate. If D&E and others like him only possessed the humility to recognize their heroes' specious song and dance as the precariously flawed rhetoric it is, we'd all be far better off.

But he won't, and neither will others of his ilk. It's too bad, really. So much hangs in the balance for so many, and it is so unfair that we all must suffer the far right's peculiar brands of ignorance and arrogance.

DEMS Has NEVER...

...attempted to answer one single question in any of the posts he disagrees with.

My own theory is that he just finds the whole debate way too challenging, so can only resort to name-calling and mud-slinging.

I'd have a LOT more respect for him if he would respond with sane and reasonable answers. But of course he can't - even if he was intellectually capable, those answers simply don't exist.

Actually, I feel quite sorry for him.
