Interesting... that you considered your little dog Gandolf to be your protector.  Dogs are loyal and fearless,  to a degree that puts most humans to shame.  And we all need protectors, whether they are walking by our side, or deployed in another country, fighting dangers we do not even see.  Cheers

Re: reply to all

thank you for your comments, Gandolf was my little white, mighty dog who would take midnight walks with me and i never had to fear of anything when he was near and he always was near me.  How i miss him and our midnight walks.

Do you realize,  these days,  that a typical feminist activist would object that this great poem has too many "misters",  and no "sister"?  You poem would be bashed and trashed,  but they, of course, would be wrong. It is a wonderful poem, and you have the perfect right to put all the misters you want in it, with no sisters.

I am a big fan of Gandalf the Grey, wizard from Lord of the Rings, and I would love to walk with him in the moonlight to a pond.....  so now I am jealous,  LOL.... just kidding. Great poem!!
