It would be catchy and yet it ends with meaning. It's both fun and thoughtful.

Re:

It was something of a preoccupation for me when young, watching the crows fly up to their nests in the tree tops...

This has a lilting musicality to it that is just fun to read and to me, could be set to music. I enjoy watching the crows here; they are funny and so intelligent, and a pain if they are after grubs in the lawn sometimes...

Re:

That was a crow from my childhood. Not so many crows where I live now but a lot of magpies!

I have a murder of crows here after 10 years of sanctuary for all critters large and small. Next door property shot at one the other year and they all flew to a tree behing my house and sat there hiding behind leaves , quiet as mice. There are rules and they know. If they wish to stay don't cross her for she is kind but fair.

Re:

Thanks CCT.

Ha! swooping parents! This came from a childhood memory when I rescued a young crow that had fallen or been kicked out of the nest. I put him in a cage and fed him bits of bread and insects and used a pipette to give him milk. Sadly he only survived a few days.

I like this I have always wanted a Carrion Crow. Once I was in a cemetery and a young large black crow was ui a ditch, I scrambled down to catch it, but soon changed my mind as two large parents swooped to attack me.
