I saw these horrible things on the news today. If I were the Obama's, I think I would give the artist a boot in the ass, and get another artist. These are terrible paintings. Any president and first lady should be better painted than this. But..... I just figured it out...... this is affirmative action for black painters, so they have to accept it! Serves them right, LOL

lol, i have to agree about both paintings, i do not think they look like the subject, and the hands of obama do look out of proportion. And the subject looks like it is floating? O well i am not an art critic, just saying. So disappointed with them, i wonder if mr and mrs were disappointed as well, we will never know the truth about that.

I believe the Obamas wanted to represent African American
culture in their paintings - but I've seen many photos of them that I like better.
