Well, if they've spent time in school, and I imagine they have, they know that deadlines happen with assignments. Wonder how they'll take the news? I just met deadlines because I had to do so. My kids did them same. And the grandkids are learning about that now. Great post.

I never ever missed a deadline whith an assignment. i may have not enjoyed school but University studying what interested me was a different thing all together.

As a writer, I have always hated deadlines. I much prefer to write without that pressure. I think that is one  -perhaps the only reason- Dr. Seuss preferred to not get an advance.

I bet some won't like it, but you have to get a bit organized or it will end in chaos.

Break it to them gently with a glass of the hard stuff. Not if they are drivers.
