Pat

I've never had a perm. But I have a daughter with real curly hair, and she wanted it straightened (relaxed) by 6th grade, nearly the same process in reverse. She will use the flat iron on it sometimes even now. I'm nearly paranoid of hair dressing salons! Have had too many bad experiences, so I sympathize with you, and know you must be frustrated, but it will relax.

Good for you! I'm sure they've had enough of your time, thought and engery!

add one of your lovely crochet hats and it will just curl around the edges of the hat and face and you will look more gorgeous than ever.

The good news is that with time, the hair situation will solve itself.

to RPresta - re what I said to grannie Madelyn after she

gave my baby girl a perm - it's been 60 years and I don't remember, but I probably would have said more if my mama's boy hubby hadn't taken her side. Don't want to give them any more of my time & thought.
