Re: Taps
Very naughty Taps, you should have made them last. Goodness you are lucky we had our flu injections and it only covered us for three strains and guess what as the old ladies' used to say it's a buggerouter. There is a fourth strain and 60% in hospitable have caught that one.

There are no chocolates left at my house. Perhaps that is why my system seems a little out of whack. LOL

sadly I cannot eat chocolate. I get a violent headache which manifests itself as doors banging shut in my head. Yes I know. I always have to be different.

I am saddened that I don't enjoy flavors as much as I used to, but it may be a good thing when confronting the need to come down a few more pounds.
Lovely poem!

Re: adnohr
It was all that rhurbarb you kept munching when you were a young one. No I am sure you are right we used to have penny sticks of Cadburys chocolate and one could suck it to a point it was creamy.

Re: RPresta
Thank you RP. Well the chocolates all appeared to be in smaller boxes this year,so not liking to look penny pinching I had to upgrade. My brother likes Cherry liquors I only really like them if it is milk chocolate . He was not very well yesterday, and when he saw the liquor chocolate that I had thrown in his chair he thought I might have left it for him lest he did not make it through the night. he is 15 years younger than I am.

I agree with adnohr about the taste. I think they use lesser quality ingredients in general and unless you get some really fine chocolates they won't taste as good. Preservatives, perhaps. And a poem that touches the heart of memories. So nicely done.

I find today's chocolate tastes more 'waxy. Or maybe my tastebuds are out of wack too. Lovely, nostalgic poem.
