My dogs have gotten used to the constant ruckus. We came to live in this village after they had grown up in a very secluded area. It took a bit, but they no longer bark at every single noise they hear and they try to entice the school kids walking by to come over to play with them. The town has about 900 people in it, but we are right on the western edge of it. They have a huge fenced in back yard and a 'doggie door' that allows them to go outside of their own volition most of the time. I can close it when the wind and weather get severe. Oh my - my doggies would have been barking warnings all night, adding to the noise. Your dogs didn't?? Nights like that can be soooo frustrating!

woken this morning with the great guy who clears our long drive way. too much cold and wonderful beautiful snow pictures everywhere although the sky is gray and the wind chill is awesome out there.
