Re: Annicita

I think it's both. Those who can remember a Christmas of their youth being better are, to me, imho, blessed, for they have a foundation of good memories upon which to build. Things change, for sure, but the light is different seen through the eyes of an adult. Still, to remember the magic, that's good enough - for me... Merry Christmas.

Re: C_C_T

If for just one moment, one does feel the memory of the wonder of Christmastime, then this poem has done its job. Thank you very much.

Re: FSI

You would not be an adult if it still had the exact magic of childhood, FSI. LOL! But still, the memory lives on.

And the same to you, Kate. Merry Christmas. Thank you, dear.

Re: Kabu

I think the child within always lives, at least in memory. Thank you, S. Sister. Yes, it would be nice to just have one minute...

Yes the christmas of my youth was much better than now...is it maturity or that things have changed?

The magic hopefully is still there for the very young. Your poem illustrates this  beautifully. Just for a moment one can feel the memory of wonder.

Christmas is still magical for me, but I would be lying if I said that it did not some of the magic that it had during childhood.

Dear S. Sister, how precious. How real and right now I would give anything to be that little girl for a day. For just one day.
