I just wanted a job and to become accepted as a grownup when I was in

high school. Mrs. N. tried to get me into teaching. To be honest, I was too insecure and defensive to be a teacher then. Now, though, I know a thing or two because I've seen a thing or two (as they say in that commercial) and teaching the group at The Center is the best thing I've done - teachers learn so much from their "students."

I don't see you changing jobs soon either. You seem very happy with your life these days.

So many factors play into the way our lives play out. I'm glad for you that the car wash business is doing well. I imagine it will continue to do so.

I hear ya FSI. I had been accepted at the University of Michigan medical school in 1973 with only six years to go until I would have been a licensed doctor, but I had started working as a paramedic and found it infinitely interesting. There are days when I wish I had gone on to get my doctorate, but then there are days that I am good with the fact that I saved lives in the field. If I hadn't stayed in the EMS field, I would have never met the one and only true love of my life, so I am content with what I had.
