I saw this years ago, I believe on HBO - perhaps it was a filmed

version of the stage play. So many points about homophobia and dysfunction, I don't remember the details any longer, but I do remember the feeling of amazement and that at the time I thought how many just wouldn't get the message, more's the pity.

Ciel,

the protagonist in the first scene, coming across as evil contradicts our preparation to understand a story.

However, the themes of aids and gay culture are timely in literature. Plays, films, short stories (lest not we forget), and novels are full of the conflicts for the sexual preference.

Equally relevant to plot and not new as can be read about in classical literature and Victorian stories such as in A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens is the archetype. Certainly, creation such as in the Biblical Book of Genesis and angels

The drug AZT, allies, and the Resurrection of the protagonist and Return with the Elixir by the central character led to the realization and personalization of angels.

So, you got the angelic drift of the play love.
