Re: Aba Bro

Exactly so, why not try to reach beyond our grasp? Browning says in another poem, Grammarian's Funeral, "That low man goes on adding one to one/ His hundred's soon hit; / This high man, aiming at a million, / Misses an unit". The greater is the man who aims high but in the pricess, misses his goal. Thst  is the difference between a high and a low man; it's a beautiful exhortation to try to exceed one's reach, even if he fails.

Another I am reminded of is "It's not about the shoes - ,  it's about knowing where I'm going.  -  not forgetting where I started, and about the courage to fail... Not breaking when I am broken." And again, in this very context, the Sadhus (sages) of the yore practicing severe penances or mortifications to realize their true selves and then declaring Ths is Who I essentially am. Enjoyed this response to your suggestion, my  dear Presta sister.

Aba Bro

A great write Aba, but I wonder, why not try to reach beyond our grasp. If one fails to try, one will never exceed or excel. Yes, we all have limits to our capabilities, but some feel we must test them, to use them to our max. However, I agree, most of us must settle to be what we are. In fact, we can only be what we are, and sometimes we must reach to know our limits.

A good piece of writing Abba. I suppose what was really missing was the Aura .

If you have ever seen it it is like a silver mist probably the energy of emotion.

Sometimes visible in new lovers or a woman just beginning to grow a child.

Perhaps it is visible to some who pay large amounts for a painting that looks

pretty ordinary to most.
