It is impressive all of the wheelking and dealing that goes on. I know someone who works for the Department of Defense, and she sells weaponry to different nations on the Defense Department's behalf.

Perhaps the Aussies will sell them cheaply perhaps easier than breaking them up for scrap. Welcome to the world of intrigue.

I wish we could pound all the swords into plowshares, and use

the recycled and new planes to spray fire retardant on the forest fires that seem to have started up again with a vengeance near Los Angeles. And as long as I'm wishing, I wish someone who thinks he's in charge would tend to his own knitting and stop causing discord in the world. As Grandma Lucy used to say, I could wish in one hand and shell peas in the other and see which one gets full first.

Ditto, dear S. Sister. I know not (naught, Naut) of jets or purchases of them, but I agree it would be nice to hear Naut's opinion.
