Re: CCT

I don't think I would go camping these days.  You can't trust anyone, anywhere.

Camping isn't really my thing.  Not in a tent,  anyway.   I do like a nice cabin though!  One of my mom's friend had a cabin on a lake when I was a kid.  It was really nice with a loft.  We went there a lot.  Breakfast over a fire, boating.  I do miss it.   I tried sleeping in a tent once.  Worst night of my life!

I would have wondered what was lurking outside, I think it would be best to sleep in a tent on one's lawn. Only on a hot night with a big torch and a baseball stick.

TAPS

Our relationaship in siocial media's as dear as neighbors, a woman that I've looked up too, maturing myself. Here from my Catholic attitude tradition, I relate to some verses in the Bible literallly that you put a date on. My point has been to both traditions that we wind up, believing John 3:16. There's beauty in, believing from Baptism, and I thought it would be nice for Lutherans who haven't been baptised to do it publicly even in a river like the tradition of the first Christians in the New Testament. To Sunday Lutherans I say it's not funny. However, I like the grace. It's a gift, faith. It's the must for the Christmas List, in God's Word. Was this nice sharing love? I needed to share with you. Yours and Amanda's tradition (?) very different from mine. More work. Now, LOL.

"can't slam the flap" Oh, that is so true! We can laugh - now.

Some of the best times we had as a family were when we went camping. The kids could be explorers, (learned to identify poison ivy the hard way) got over their fear that there might be snakes, and to scout for firewood. No longer a fan of sleeping on the ground, though.

Dear TAPS, that last line made me laugh so hard cause it's true!

Hahaha! I have camped, and tried to sleep in a tent. Tried is the operative word. It was so hot at the Colorado River that it didn't cool off at night, and there was no air to speak of, or to breathe. One also shouldn't have a new baby in a tent, as my SIL did in theirs. Makes changing them difficult when one is roughing it with no running water or electricity. Hope you did enjoy your camping; I think you mostly did.
