Be careful on those basement stairs.

Lovely photo of the tree and your children...

I have a little nativity scene I've had stored in the basement - always loved having it on display. Maybe I'll try to venture down the stairs and get it later in the week.

I know what you mean. That is why I do not put up a tree. It's the putting up and the taking down.

You don't feel a need for even a small one love?

Our past couple of Christmases we didn't get the live tree, but used a set of 3 flocked trees on a low table to create a winter landscape. Then I lucked into a large collection of little David Winter Cottages, and that brought back my childhood tradition of setting up a village under the trees.

This year... not yet in the mood, not even a little. We plan to go to Seattle for Christmas week, so we might not do any of it here.

TAPS

Lovely! Such a fine tree of the Preacher and his wife? But then I haven't a clue of many of the Christian rituals. I'd want to be a part of the celebrations, sometime, if I can.

no tree here either

Like you the tree was just too much crowding in the small are where we actually live and Mr. Graysome saw it as his duety to climb it. No point in puting decorations outside because no one can see them from the road and no one will be here for Christmas either. We are not giving each other gifts this year. We buy anything that we want through out the year.

Well it is nice to look at trees when one has made the effort we always used to plant our afterwards but sometimes the just grew and grew.

Beautiful tree, and such a lovely couple. You were like my younger sis decorating - she'd throw the foil icicles on the tree in gobs, and I'd go around and pluck them off, putting them on one at a time. Same with the bulbs; I'd rearrange them. At least you have the Nativity Set. My daughters still like to see the one I use from when they were little girls. A tree does not a Christmas make, at least, not always. You have the spirit!
