Re: adnohr

You bet, one day I might find out the tally. I think if she had suggested two it might have tickled his fancy.

Wow - all three of them, each with a different message. Was it her desire for 10 children that changed Uncle Albert's mind?

Again there's that wistfulness in the tone of your 2nd poem, and

the kind attempt at a breakup in the 3rd.  I do enjoy reading your poems.

Re: Oh, I love the rhythm and rhyme of the first poem...

Well Pat it is somewhat easier to write when the poem suggests its own words to complete something that makes a little sense. Bizarrely a lot of nursery rhymes do not follow this procedure as often as they should have done. Of course at this instant I cannot think of an example. Hope you have luck.

Oh, I love the rhythm and rhyme of the first poem...

We're talking of doing poetry in our Thursday class, and this would be a great demonstration tool.  Will be back to read the other two,  my boys have invited me to breakfast and time's a-wasting.

It's nice to be nice. That's for sure. So Uncle Albert wrote a Dear Joan letter to someone? Never knew that...
