For awhile I carried a notebook with me to jot down ideas for stories. It didn't really work for me. Just having the idea in my mind is enough.

I love to write poetry but not rhyming....i love freestyle, love short stories, novellas and now getting into screenplays which is a whole new deal for me...love expanding my experience

Interesting. I could not write a novel/novella/short story to save my life. I actually began writing in 2005 as a way to release pentup emotions from a breakup. I just didn't want to lose my masculinity by being a crybaby with a journal..lol. Oh the irony, as folks tend to think poetry is not for men. I have watched myself evolve in the years and sometimes I will have an outpouring and other times I won't write for weeks. I write abt little things(a flower) and big things(a mountain) as I am inspired by whatever...IF, I am in a writing mood..which most times I am. I try to carry a small notebook with me and when I don't I write the thought or the whole poem on a piece of paper(I have a few letters with poems written on them..lol) If it's in your blood, you will miss it when you don't write..or maybe I'm just a word whore cuz I love the English language. Haha and peace to you in your endeavors.

I used to have an outpouring of words quite often and had to work at finding something to cut out. That ended sometime back and now I struggle to even get started. I always think that maybe some day an outpouring will come once more.

A lazy one probably I would not bother if it were not for this gentle bunch of folk. Also I think it keeps ones mind ticking over.
