Re: GM

Thank you, GM. There are, to me, many areas of interest in this topic, but from the immediate practical point, some reasearchers feel it could help them in the field of organ transplant rejection, if I recall the contents of this particular article correctly. There are few more articles but I didn't post the links.

Great poem,  great post, great link, great subject!!  Very interesting,  but from a practical standpoint,  what is the point of genes activating after death??  Not very useful,  but it directs us to study the switching-on and switching-off of genes during our lives,  which I have been researching for a few years now.  Genes are the most important influence on our bodies,  and they can be turned "on" and "off" by our diet,  our behavior,  our moral choices,  etc.  Not to mention how humanity may have been genetically engineered,  in our distant past of 100,000 to 200,000 years ago.......

Re: CCT

I hope not, for what is the 'best' now may change later. This is about genes sparking to life, beginning to function, up to 2 days after death! I think about how astounding that is! A dead creature having the genetic capacity to spark to life, at least in some genes!

This poem makes me wonder if in the future only the best genes will be selected and a super race will evolve, or for a start a super rat.

Re: TAPS

I LOVE science. This poem is based on fact, that's why the link is there. Amidst the darkness, there is Light. Perhaps another look? How can something 'dead' come back to life? So interesting.

Sounds like something from "The Dark Side" or something told by Rod Serling.  Very interesting.
