Well Pat I did not want to become involved I was caring for my mother and I wondered if she was from one of the show folk. Of course men like to fool around. Yes we were mighty glad when USA joined in. It would have been a different life otherwise. Although it was very tragic for so many all over.

No it must have been a ball of smoke, but sometimes we did see an enemy plane and a couple of bombs destroyed the school,but of course being in the country we missed the real bombing.  Uncle Albert can tell a few fibs I think he bought his beard. Goodness I remember I bought it because Mother had dementia and sometimes would only speak to a stranger, how funny one forgets.

I have never been in a country where war is occurring. I cannot imagine the fear, especially when you had to deal with a maniac like Hitler...The theme of aging stands out to me.

Well, was it the Germans? Lord, what a fright! And it sounds like you/Uncle Albert are doing quite well with the ladies. I'd leave the beard, if there is one, as it seems to be a hit! What a charmer!
