Our beliefs are like eveything else in this world, ever changing, simple when children, and become more complex as we experience life and learn.  I believe there are 2 truths, the worlds and our own and they can also change.

Re: GypsyButterflyCA,

I think that's great, to treat personal religious/spiritual beliefs as any other deeply personal topic. Now and then, it is worth setting it forth when you want someone to understand who you are. But I think it is just about always going to be wrong to try to persuade others to one's own view of the Universe. To be an example is one thing, to be a dictator is something else!

My spiritual beliefs, especially about death, are quite different than most people's, except for my husbands. Which is why, I don't discuss religion much. I don't even know the faiths of my friends or if any are atheists.

Re: Annicita,

Agreed!  Sometimes I wish it was taboo to discuss one's personal beliefs about God. And that children had to be left alone to explore and discover for themselves.

Re: CCT,

Trouble is, we tend to outgrow simple--as if adulthood is about making life as complicated as possible!

Thanks!

We each have our own perception of what God, the source, etc is or represents....

No one can dictate to us what our beliefs should be or tell us how to worship if we choose to do so

Yes life was more simple when one thought God looked down on us. Innocence is sometimes happiness. Good Blog.

Re: RPresta

The one thing we can be sure of is our ignorance, and the room to learn more and grow further. Yes, reality is always in motion though there are times we seem to get stuck, whirling around in some eddy of the stream.

No questions from me; you explained it quite well. In a sense, for me your post painted a picture of a fluid reality, in part, because we do not know what it is that we do not know. Just my take on it.
