Money Causes Amnesia?
If having money makes you forget about other people, then there was something missing from the getgo before the money came. Perhaps having money shows the real person. If you are secretly stingy, then it will show; if you are a philantropist, then that will show also.

Having the physical "money" does not make you necessarily wealthy - try thinking of it spiritually.

Lovely thought, but...
I would love to have enough money to be independent. However, I am enough of a realist to know that isn't going to happen. when you hit bottom, live gets pretty damn grim, especially when you have nothing at all.

good point
You are right to point out that money and spirituality can go together. However, you need to realize why money is considered the root of all evil: it can make you forget about other people. Money and spirituality go together only if they allow you to help other people.
